If you set resolutions for yourself at the beginning of the year, it’s good to look back at them throughout the year. Are you actively pursuing greater health and well-being? Are you being tenacious about it?
I hope you have developed your powerful vision, that ‘target that beckons’ you forward, and guides you in your choices. With a powerful vision, you can see yourself so clearly, that you make daily choices based on whether or not they are moving you towards that place.
Are you struggling to create your vision?
Don’t give up if you find it challenging to create your vision, it is a powerful first step. Imagine every detail of how you want to feel, talk about it with a coach, a dear friend, or partner and make it clear and compelling. Keep asking yourself the question “what else” to keep digging deeper and deeper to get to the heart of what you want to move towards.
Find your why
Once you have a clear vision, it’s crucial to understand why you want that vision to become a reality. What will you be able to do that really matters to you? Who will you be able to interact with in a way that is meaningful to you. Is it your grandchildren or children you want to keep up with, or to get up off the floor easily after playing with? In addition to having a vision, you want to have a moving and compelling reason why you want to step into that vision.
“Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth … that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too” ~ Goethe
How to bring your vision to life
Once you have a clear and compelling vision, get specific about what it will feel like to step into that vision. How does it feel to be in your body? What kind of smells, tastes, and sights evoke those feelings? What are you doing and how do you feel while doing that?
Invite a full-sensory experience into your awareness and you will bring that vision to life. Bringing it to life will make it an even more compelling reality that you will want to move towards with every choice that you make.
